Key projects include the Governors Island Impact of Ventilation, Governors Island Wind-Impacted Fires, and Chicago’s Robert Taylor Houses Stairwell Pressurization Study.Appointed to provide strategic guidance and expert insight to FSRI leadership in advancing global fire safety research and education. Collaborates with leading professionals across the fire service, government, academia, and industry to shape initiatives that address critical and unresolved fire safety challenges. Contributes to the development of life-saving research priorities, data interpretation, and policy recommendations influencing fire service operations worldwide.

Served as the liaison between the FDNY and NIST to advance firefighter safety through data-driven innovation. Contributed to groundbreaking studies on wind-driven fire behavior, stairwell pressurization, and wind-impacted fire dynamics at Governors Island. Played a key role in translating research findings into practical, life-saving firefighting tactics and operational protocols.

Oversaw nationwide logistics operations supporting FEMA’s response to catastrophic emergencies. Directed the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment of critical equipment, vehicles, and supplies for rapid disaster response. Managed inventory control, purchasing, and transportation for national task forces, ensuring operational readiness under extreme conditions. Served as a specialist for commercial drivers, coordinating large-scale fleet logistics and mobilization. Key deployments include the 2004 Democratic National Convention, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, and Hurricane Maria.
