Captain, Rescue Co. #1. FDNY’s Special Operations Unit | 2020 - 2025
Commander of FDNY’s premier technical rescue team, leading 25 specialists in high-risk, complex emergency operations requiring advanced training and cutting-edge equipment. Oversaw administration of the company, including building and apparatus maintenance, and all members training records, payroll and scheduling. Enforced department regulations and maintained a safe work environment.
Captain, Division 11 | 2016 – 2019
As a covering officer, main responsibilities were to maintain memberships readiness in response to emergencies in the division. Enforced department regulations and created a safe work environment.
Captain, Assigned to Division of Training | 2014 - 2016
Assigned to the Chief of Training, duties included program development and direction. Tracking of grant funds, oversaw training at Randall’s Island under Chief of Training.
Lieutenant, Squad 252 | 2007 - 2014
First line officer in a Special Operations Command Squad Company. Managed day to day station activities including personnel, apparatus and equipment maintenance. Ensured personal readiness through planning and conducting training sessions in drills in technical rescue and Haz-Mat operations. Performed administrative duties, records, reports and managing shift schedules.
Firefighter, Rescue Co. #1 | 2003 - 2005
Elite Special Operations Specialist including firefighter survivability on the fire ground, search and rescue and all aspects of technical rescue including advanced municipal rescue diver.
Firefighter, Squad 18 | 1998 – 2002
Special Operations technical rescue specialist including Haz Mat operations. As an inaugural member, it required the members to formulate and build the company from the ground up in all aspects of firefighting, emergency medical and technical rescue.
Firefighter, Eng. 225 | 1988 – 1998
Fire suppression and emergency medical care in Brooklyn's most challenging sections of the borough.
Appointed to FDNY Probationary School 1988.
Volunteer firefighter in Roslyn Highlands Hook & Ladder, Engine & Hose inc. | 1981- 2001 Trained in all aspects for the fire service including driving both Engines and Ladder apparatus.
